So I'm here to share with you my story of heartache and triumph, failure and success, sorrow and sheer giddiness. I'm here to tell you about my transformation. This is very much about weight loss and getting fit but it is also about so much more. It is about courage, strength, and growth. It is about will power and determination. It is all about changing my life, inside and out. I am going to tell you my whole story, but not now. You'll have to read on for that. I hope that I am able to inspire, motivate, and educate many others along the way. Ready? S'go!
Your journey has just begun. You finally realized that it takes a life change to make permanent changes in how you look and feel and how others see you. Life changes are not "10 pounds in 10 days" they are 50 or more pounds in 2 years, 3 years, and beyond. You are young and many roads lie ahead... and you can take any of them. It seems you are finally armed with the real truth that many never see. You make life choices everyday... whether to eat that candy bar and potato chips seemed such a small choice so it was easy to make. Instant gratification is an important part of our lives. You learned that the small choices became the most important ones ... over time, and the hardest to change. We all let the big decisions - marriage, work, where to live, children, money, education, and life in general - take up most of our thinking and planning. Unfortunately the small choices, what to eat, what to smoke, what to put inside our bodies, and whether to sit and watch the tube or go play a game of tennis, were given little to no thought. Now that you think about these issues on a daily basis you really still give them the same amount of time as before but you are more aware of what the consequences are and you really have more time and energy to put toward the really big decisions needed in your life. While you can still fall off the wagon (so to speak) if you do now, you do so by choice and doing so would go against all that you have accomplished thus far. You go girl.... As for education others, you already have :)
